Cuesta Women's Volleyball made quick work of Los Angeles Pierce with a three-set sweep of the visiting Brahmas (25-21, 25-15, 25-15).  The Brahmas and the Cougars have a great history of competition and are the only members of the Western State Conference to ever capture a CCCAA State Title, with three each.  This evening's victory marked the Cougars' first conference win of the season and moved their overall record to 9-7 on the season.  The Brahmas hung with their hosts in the first set, as the foes evenly split the first 30 points of the night, but that is when Cuesta took over the match, while they claimed ten of the next 16 points to snag the initial victory.  The Cougars quickly sealed their sweep with a pair of identical 10-point victories, 25-15and 25-15, to close the night.  The victory moves the Cougars to 9-7 overall and earned them their first win in WSC play, where they are now 1-2.
