Cuesta Women's Wrestling nears the finish line of the program's first season on the mats. The Cougars travelled to San Diego last weekend for their final regular season event at the Palomar Invitational. Cuesta's team posted 5th place in the ten-team event, despite having only four healthy grapplers on the mat. All four wrestlers placed in the event, led by Sophomore Aubree Kooren (131), who picked up the Silver (2-1). 2025 All American Ayten Elbarbary (124) and Ashleigh Terry (160) both claimed Bronze in their division, while Ana Garcia-Delgado (207) missed out on the Bronze and settled for 4th place. The Cougars five-woman team currently boasts a combined season record of 95-43 (.688) and, after finishing 12th as a team at the season opening Cerritos Tournament, have not finished lower than 5th place in any of their last six tournaments.
Cuesta College Women's Wrestling shall complete its first official season at the 2026 3C2A State Championships at Fresno City College on May 2.
