Women's Polo Cruises in Long Beach After Dropping Opener
Cuesta Women's Water Polo competed in Long beach City's "Battle at the Beach" last weekend with four games over the weekend.  The Cougars, ranked 6th in the State, opened against #5 American River in a contest worthy of the billing.  The two teams extended the game into overtime, where the Beavers eventually defended their ranking, 10-9.  After getting knocked out of the title bracket, the Cougars cruised through the competition and finished the event with a 3-1 record.  Cuesta closed the first day with a win over unranked El Camino, 18-7. On Saturday, the Cougars re-established themselves by beating Cerritos, 12-9, before claiming the tournament finale against #7 Fullerton, 10-8, in another overtime game.  The Cougars are now 19-9 on the season and shall not return to action until the 2025 Western State Conference Championships.

Cuesta Women's water polo shall enjoy a bye-week, before travelling to and competing in the 2025 Western State Conference Championships. The Cougars are chasing their both their first conference title since 2007 and their seventh straight playoff berth.
