Men's Swimming Takes Another Mini Meet, Women Take Bronze- NorCal this Week
Cuesta Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving travelled to Van Nuys to compete in the second of their three Western State Conference Mini Meets.

The men were crowned meet champion for the 4th time over their five events this season, while crushing their WSC competition with 586 points, which outpaced runner-up Ventura by more than 200 points.  The men only won three events on the day, all by 2025 Cuesta Athlete of the Year Grant Huston, but loaded up the championship heats in every event.  The Cougars had at least one swimmer in the championship final (Top 8) in each swimming event, including five in both the 100-butterfly and 100-backstroke.

The Women took the team Bronze at Los Angeles Valley College, despite not winning an event.  The Aqua-Cats loaded up with a half-dozen medal worthy finishes, with three silvers and three bronze finishes on the day.  Diver Kelly Churchill picked up a Silver on both boards to lead the Cougars scoring.  In the lanes, All American Annika Pauschek earned a Silver in the 200-freestyle and third in the 100-backstroke to lead the team, while Tristan Bettencourt and Kailey Ardouin claimed a Silver in the 100-individual medley and Bronze in the 500-freestyle, respectively.

Cuesta Swimming and Diving travels to Santa Rosa this week for the three-day NorCal Invitational in Santa Rosa.  The trip to Northern California marks the Cougars' final championship level meet, before the Western State Conference Championships starting April 15.
