Cuesta Freshman Annika Pauschek was the Cougars' top scorer at the 2025 CCCAA State Swim & Dive Championships, where the women finished 26th overall. Pauschek scored 26 individual points and posted the Cougars' first All-American time since 2022. Pauschek finished 6th in the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:01.11 to claim All American status. She also just missed a second accolade in the 200-backstroke. Pauschek dropped four seconds from her time in the preliminaries with a season-best time of 2:14.30 to win the consolation heat, despite outpacing some of the times in the championship finals. The rest of the Cougars' points came off the planks from Diver Elyse Smith. Smith, who took second off both boards in conference, finished 12th off the low board (149.3) and 11th off the 3-meter (156.85).
