The biggest name in Soccer for San Luis Obispo County, Alex Crozier shall join the Cuesta coaching staff this season. After 33 season and 326 victories, he recently stepped down as the head coach at nearby Cal Poly SLO, before deciding to join his former assistant at Cuesta. A six-time Big West Conference Coach of the Year and the 1993 National Soccer Coaches of America's Coach of the Year, Crozier led the Mustangs to 10 conference titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure. He shall join Cuesta Head Coach Paige Johnson on the sidelines this season.
Coach Crozier played collegiately as a four-year letterman for the Mustangs, while he earned his degree in Civil Engineering in 1984. He began his coaching career as assistant at Santa Clara University, before returning to SLO and helping transition the women's soccer club into a varsity sport for at Cal Poly. He concluded his career with the Mustangs in 2024 as the winningest coach in Big West Conference history.
Alex and his wife, Judy King, have four children and reside in San Luis Obispo.
