This Week, Cuesta Women's Basketball split a pair of games against Central Valley Conference (CVC) foes Reedley and Porterville. The Cougars opened the week in Reedley on Wednesday and fell against the host Tigers, 96-63. Cuesta went right back to work the next day and played in Porterville on Thursday. The Cougars came home with a split, after beating the Pirates, 71-39.
Sophomore Forward Fiona Durham led the Cougars to victory last week, while scoring a team-highs at both Reedley and Porterville. She netted 15 points in the loss to Reedley, before dropping 21 points against Porterville. Durham is averaging a team-best 14.5 points per game on the year, while also leading the Cougars in steals and blocks at the other end of the court.
The Cougars shall remain in SLO this week for a pair of non-conference contests. The Cougars are set to host Lemoore on Wednesday (5 PM) and Bakersfield on Saturday (3 PM).
