Cuesta Softball Run-Rules Rival Allan Hancock, 16-3, for First WSC Win
Cuesta Softball hosed local rival Allan Hancock for a Western State Conference contest and came away with a convincing victory, 16-3.  The Cougars got to work early by scoring seven runs in each of their first two turns at the plate, while also adding a pair of tallies in the third frame.  Pitcher Georgia Wilson went the distance to pick up her third win of the season, while watching her teammates enjoy their fourth game of 15 or more runs, which includes two of their last four contests.  All nine Cuesta starters connected for at least one hit in the contest, while seven members of their starting nine touted at least two safeties in the game.  Wilson helped herself with three singles in the game, as well as scoring twice and driving in a pair of runs.  The left side of the infield also did some damage in the batter's box.  Third Baseman Addy Finegan went 3-for-3, including two doubles, while Shortstop Abbey Jones opened the Cougars' attack with a Double and added the game's lone home run in the 3rd inning on her way to game-high 3 RBI.  The win moved the Cougars to 7-17 overall and 1-2 against the Western State Conference.

Softball has booked a full schedule next week with four games on the docket.  The Cougars open with a pair of Western State Conference games, on the road at Ventura on Tuesday (2 PM) and back in SLO on Thursday (2 PM) to host Santa Barbara.  Cuesta is set to close the week with a doubleheader on Saturday (12/2 PM) against Fresno City , while they also celebrate the roster's six sophomores with "Sophomore Day"
