Sophomore Infielder Addy Finegan (Clovis) has bludgeoned her way into her sophomore campaign and, currently, leads the State with nine home runs. Finegan was second on the team with five home runs last season but has nearly doubled her freshman total with nine roundtrippers in the Cougars' first 12 games of 2026. Finegan has also brought her teammates along for the ride and also leading the State with 20 runs batted in. Last week, the Cougars hosted 2025 playoff teams, #18 Saddleback and Monterey Peninsula. Finegan feasted during the Cougars three-game homestand against elite competition. She went 9-for-10 on the weekend, including a pair of doubles and six home runs, while also driving in 13 runs. Finegan has accounted for 15 of the Cougars' 20 runs on the season. Finegan, with 14 career home runs, is now only two dingers away from Amanda Mueller's Cuesta record of 16, with 25 games left on the schedule.
Cuesta Softball is back in action and on the road for a pair of doubleheaders this week. Cuesta travels North to Coalinga on Thursday (12/2), before turning South to Sylmar on Saturday (12/2) for a twinbill against Los Angeles Mission.
