Softball has been battling the weather this Spring and went 17 days without a contest, before getting a pair of games in last Tuesday.  The Cougars return from another weeklong game-less stretch and prepare for a five-game homestand.  The Cougars welcome Canyons on Tuesday (1/3 PM) for their long-awaited Cougars versus Cougars doubleheader.  On Thursday they are back in action with another twinbill against Antelope Valley (12/2 PM).  The Cougars homestand will extend into next week, when Cuesta begins Western State Conference play.  

Last week, the Cougars returned to the diamond on Tuesday with a doubleheader at Monterey Peninsula.  The host Lobos triumphed in a pair of pitching duels, beating the Cougars, 2-1, in the opener and posting a shutout, 1-0, in the nightcap.  The pair of setbacks dropped the Cougars to 3-4 on the season.
