Men Break Into the Top 10 at SoCal Preview

Men's Cross Country returned to Riverside County for their second straight race and cracked the Top 10 at the 2024 Southern California Preview.  The Cuesta Harriers last trip South ended with a 22nd, out of 23, place finish, but the Cougars all dropped between four and five minutes off their previous times to crack the Top 10.  Freshman Weston Greenelsh led the Cuesta pack for the 5th straight race and finished 3rd overall (21:05.4), while fellow rookies Nick York and JP Walsh, in 42nd and 49th places respectively, gave the Cougars three Top 50 finishers.  Freshmen David Maya-Shelton and Aiden Gibson rounded out the scoring by finishing 104th and 122nd in the 203-man field.

Cuesta's Harriers have a two-week bye, before entering their championship schedule.  The Cougars next event shall be the 2024 Western State Conference Championship at Oxnard College on October 25.  The Cougars raced at Oxnard on October 6th; the teams second start of the season.
