Cuesta Beach Volleyball closed their team schedule with a pair of setbacks in Moorpark on Friday.  The Cougars were swept, 5-0, by both WSC-leading Santa Barbara City and host Moorpark, who is the only WSC team to beat the Vaqueros this season.  The loss dropped the Cougars' overall record to 5-17 overall and landed them in 6th place, with a 2-10 mark in the seven-team circuit.  

 

Interim Coach Jayelin Lombard, who stepped in at the end of February, and the Cougars are st to compete the WSC Pairs Tournament this Friday and Saturday in Santa Barbara.  The Cougars are 78-126 in their individual matches on the season and will get a chance to break out of the dual-meet ladder and move up as individual pairs.  Cuesta Sophomore Cayley Brown is now the Cougars' career win leader with 18 victories over the past two seasons, while her former partner, Hanne Porter, is just one win away from the Cougars' single season single-season standard of 11 wins.  The former duo has been split up with the hope that the Cougars can advance two teams out of the weekend.
